Subversive: Pascal-Emmanuel Gobry
On all the things you shouldn't talk about: Sex, Religion & Politics.
As the Subversive Podcast is gaining momentum, I’ll send updates on the newest guests every Wednesday.
The next guests will include stellar subversives like Patrick Deneen, Samo Burja, Peter Wang, Default Friend, Kwamurai, Gritcult, Louise Perry, Justin Murphy & many more.
If you want to help me grow the project (and get the painfully necessary sound engineer of my dreams) consider subscribing to my Patreon. Episodes are always a week early there, and exclusive content is coming as well, it’s literally paradise.
This week’s podcast features Pascal-Emmanuel Gobry, @pegobry on Twitter.
Pascal is a fellow at the Ethics & Public Policy Center and writes for all the big name brands in journalism. He is French but is NOT the France whisperer, so get that out of your head.
We chat about the consulting farms masquerading as colleges that we both attended, about being Catholic in 2021 (Pascal truly, I, hmm, nominally), about Neoliberalism and its discontents, sex & sexiness, the plague of *weak men*, and our love of, and pretty much existence as, Internet Weirdos.
It was a great conversation, though I’m still ironing out some sound issues, so bear with me (I think I improved a lot after this one, I swear!)
Also, if you want to listen to my chat with the brilliant Mary Harrington @moveincircles, on reactionary feminism, hyper-liberalism, LARPing, and being sex-negative harpies, you can head to my Patreon. New episodes are always a week early.
